For the winter of 2025-26, there will be both six-week Level 1 one-hour courses that people can repeat until they are comfortable moving to the Level 2 class. Level 1 is also a good choice for those who want more time on a drum to work on form while playing simpler combinations.
We will also offer 75 minute “try some taiko” sessions for people not ready to commit to six full weeks.
Level 2 will move faster and work on more difficult rhythms.
There will be a student recital in late November or early December and again in June for all who have participated. Drummers can participate in songs from both classes, if you are also in Level 2. The dates will be announced sometime in the fall.
Performing is never required! Our past recitals have mainly been for friends and family and have been a celebration for us and the spectators. Youtube links to our first recital and our second.
